About Me

My name is Elizabeth Debes, and I am a history and theater double major in the education program at the University of Mary Washington. I hope someday to teach secondary social studies in VA. In my free time, I am the president of a performing arts club on campus, and crochet sweaters for friends.

I have always been fascinated by history, and pushed by teachers and professors to explore the topic at its fullest. At the moment, I am fascinated with political relationships that have existed for hundreds of years, and the perceived dichotomy between the culture and society of western civilization and non-western civilization. I hope to dive into this subject and hopefully specify my interest, but, right now, I am just trying out different fields of study.

This website is a place where I can publish my work, whether it is a research paper for history, an analysis for theater, or a reflection for education.
